LumberJacks Sniper Kessel out with MONO

The LumberJacks will unfortunately be without the services of forward Phil Kessel for at least the next few weeks.

Yesterday, the club placed the young sniper on injured reserve after he was diagnosed with mononucleosis.

“Generally, this could take 3-4 weeks, but it could be longer and it could be shorter,” LumberJacks general manager Jim Davis said last night.

This is a blow to the team who has been hot lately. If Kessel can only miss 2.5 weeks the jacks can maintain their position with the way Spezza, Kovalchuk, Booth, Smyth have been playing lately. No matter what another road bump along the highway for Phil Kessel. This kid fought cancer, so whats a little Mono, heh!
