Retirement Rule

There is a new "Retirement Rule" in effect. Here is how it works. If you have a player on your team that you had before week 7 or a player that you received in a trade. And he retires at the end of the year. You will be awarded compensation for that player. Compensation will be a waiver pick at the end of the draft. You have to pick you can't trade that compensation pick that you received. It is only yours. Say Jagr retired Tuesday and then Sakic Thursday. The team who had Jagr will get an earlier pick cause his player retired first. That is how that part of it works.

Labatt Blues who had the 11th pick in the waiver draft. Will now also have the 12th pick as compensation for Hasek's retirement. Hope you guys like this rule. I think its fair. If you want to talk about it, please go to the message board to discuss this rule.
