• Less then 200 games played

Goalies

• 26 years old or younger


• Less then 80 games started

  3rd Round

Forwards, Defenseman

& Goalies

• Must be a 2nd round NHL pick or higher


• No 1st rounders


• Only players with 0 games played in the NHL

This new rule, will allow for older players not to be drafted which is the way it should have always been. This is a "Prospect Draft" and is supposed to be for rookies, prospects or players still in the early stages of their careers. This will allow for a few better older players available for our free agency period after the draft.
